The final entry for the 2022 Asian Le Mans Seres numbers 37 cars with some minor changes from the 39 car provisional entry released last month.
There are no changes to the four car LMP2 entry. Im LMP3 the provisional entry from BHK Motorsport is withdrawn and the Graff Racing entry os renumber to #26 and now listed for G-Drive Racing.
GT sees some additions and withdrawals but still numbers a record 23 cars:
The #5 YC Panda Audi, #18 Evisu Racing Aston Martin, #54 sps Performance AMG, and #61 AF Corse Ferrari are all missing from the provisional entry.
But, as confirms previously by DSC there are additional single car entries from Dinamic Motorsport (Porsche) and Attempto Racing (Audi).
Not listed is the addition for the two Yas Marina races of an Oreca 07 for United Autosports, this to accommodate the fact that Josh Pierson is unable to enter the Dubai races since he does not turn 16 until February 14.
Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest:
“The new Asian Le Mans Series season is off to a strong start with an impressive entry list of 37 cars. The return of the spectators on the two circuits will delight the competitors. See you in a few days in Dubai to launch this event awaited by the entire endurance world.”
Frédéric Lequien, CEO of ALMEM and LMEM:
“The 2022 Asian Le Mans Series looks set to provide thrilling racing yet again! The entry list looks very exciting, both in terms of the number of entries and the quality of the teams and drivers that have entered. I wish them all well in their final preparations and look froward to seeing them on-track from the 11th of February.”
After racing behind closed doors last season the Asian Le Mans Series is thrilled to be back racing in front of fans. Last season a record audience watched the races live at home, but this time fans will be able to watch all the action trackside.
Tickets will be free for the opening two races at the Dubai Autodrome Circuit, and a three day pass will cost 25AED for the final two races at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Tickets must be pre-ordered online via either Circuit’s website and strict Covid protocols will be enforced by the circuits and the local authorities. Fans are advised to ensure they are aware of these before attending.
