ST. GEORGE — A woman who police said claimed to be in medical distress crashed her car into two vehicles for sale at a used car lot on St. George Boulevard just after 12:30 pm Friday.

She was traveling westbound but swerved over the center median across the eastbound lanes. The Volkswagen Jetta she was driving then crashed into two parked cars for sale at St. George Dixie Motors.
The driver was taken by St. George Regional Hospital. There were no other injuries.
The female driver, who was the only passenger in the brown Jetta, told police said she was experiencing a medical emergency. She was taken by ambulance to St. George Regional Hospital.
St. George Police Officer Burkeley Christian said officers still were piecing together the information but said it appeared the vehicle with Texas license plates went across the boulevard and over the center median before going over the sidewalk and crashing into the cars at St. George Dixie Motors at 555 E. St. George Blvd.
“She kind of told us that she had some sort of medical emergency,” Christian said. “She was transported to the hospital, so I’m not entirely sure what’s all going on with that.”
As a result of the crash, two used cars for sale will require body work but no one else injured. A small tree also was damaged.

On the lot, a Chevy Cruze for sale had its front fender ripped off and right side damaged. A blue Fiat had damage to its left side.
The crash itself did little to disrupt traffic but did leave some clean-up work for the car lot.
