Nine people were killed and several more injured after a six-car crash in north Las Vegas Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. local time on Saturday, after police say a Dodge Challenger traveling at a “high rate of speed” blew through a red light and crashed with multiple other vehicles at an intersection, North Las Vegas Public Information Officer Alexander Cuevas said at a press conference.
Cuevas said at least 15 people were involved in the crash.
Those killed range in age from young children to middle-aged adults, police said.
The driver of the Dodge Dart is among the dead.
Police said impairment from drugs or alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the collision at this time.
