Porsche Expects To Sell Even More Cars This Year

Cars such as the Porsche Macan are proving to be a massive sales success for the German manufacturer. Last year, the brand confirmed that the compact crossover was its most popular model globally, with 88,362 units delivered. This was followed closely by the Cayenne at 83,071 confirmed sales. By the end of 2021, Porsche was able to sell 301,915 cars, part of which included record-breaking sales in key regions such as the USA and China.

Based on quotes sourced by Automobilwoche, Porsche’s sales chief Detlev von Platen is certain that the brand will beat this record again in 2022, despite the critical semiconductor shortage. He says, “When I look at the current orders, I’m confident for 2022. Growth in sales could reach a similarly high level this year as in 2021,”
